# changelog

> Daily release notes for Route, its API and documentation.

Here's what we've shipped, grouped by UTC date. Anything still in progress is marked upcoming.

<Update label="September 10, 2026" tags={["API", "Docs", "Upcoming"]}>
  ### Live

  * **Added an interactive API reference.** Endpoint pages now use OpenAPI to show request fields, response schemas and code examples. You can try requests from the docs without an API key.

  * **Updated token funding.** Creator fees are split 65% for buybacks and 35% for the treasury. We've dropped the gas sponsorship plan.

  * **Added buyback and contract pages.** You can now find the addresses, Safe controls, policy expiry and a confirmed buyback receipt in one place.

  * **Expanded the cookbook.** Find recipes for token selection, quote comparison, swap preparation, wallet confirmation and activity totals. Each recipe links to the endpoints it uses.

  ### Upcoming

  * **Swap fees.** Published the implemented 0 / 2 / 5 / 10 / 50 bps schedule and a migration recipe. The live app and API remain at 0 bps pending the new collector's deployment and activation.

<Update label="September 9, 2026" tags={["API", "Development"]}>
  * Added native-chart candle history and streaming support to the market-data integration, including one-second intervals where supported. The chart UI remains a preview; its data is a pool-price display, not an executable swap quote.
</Update>

<Update label="September 8, 2026" tags={["Buybacks"]}>
  * Activated the Safe-controlled buyback worker and confirmed the first mainnet purchase. Normal runs claim creator fees, use 65% to buy ROUTE and send the purchased tokens plus remaining ETH to the treasury Safe.
  * Configured 15-minute checks and Safe policies lasting at most 72 hours. Later adjusted the worker for full available claims and removed its offchain gas-cost ceilings; transaction simulation and fixed contract recipients remain in place.

</Update>

<Update label="September 7, 2026" tags={["API", "Wallets"]}>
  * Added all-time settlement activity and estimated volume reporting.
  * Added ROUTE to the curated token list and made it the default receive token in the swap interface.
  * Documented optional atomic approval-and-swap batching for capable wallets, with separate approval and swap transactions as the fallback.
</Update>
